Is Proven Skin Care System right for you?
Let me start off by saying that I am not a dermatologist nor have a medical background, this is simply an opinion and what works for me and my skin.
I have been struggling with dull skin that has not been aging gracefully. Fine lines and wrinkles are okay to an extent since they come with age. What I am not happy about is skin losing elasticity and moisture. Making it feel dry and tight. The environment doesn’t help with the brutal dry winters we have in Maryland and then out of nowhere it’s hot and humid.
I may have a bit of a problem buying something I’ve seen scrolling through instagram in the wee hours of the morning. When all I want to do is to fall back asleep. (Lucky for you that means more reviews to come later) The Proven ad looked intriguing with the models beautiful skin promising equal results. So there I am filling out the quiz at 3am and $130 later I fell back to sleep. After a week I got the confirmation that my order was shipping, clearly it wasn’t a dream and I really did go shopping in the wee hours. When it came I couldn’t wait to try it out and see if it lived up to the hype.
It is a three piece system cleanser, night cream and day cream and swears you don’t need anything else. The cleanser is creamy and luxurious. I couldn’t believe how soft my skin felt after washing it. I dried it and there was no tight dry feeling. It was amazing! The night cream is decadent, it is thick and goes on light and weightless. I wake up and there is still moisture left in my skin. Again the tightness was gone after sleeping all night. P.s. I am a stomach sleeper and toss and turn all night. Products tend to rub off through the night so the fact that this product was holding up to my restless night. Win Win!The day cream is light but still packs a big punch.
It has been three weeks now and my skin tone has finally evened out. No more redness. I now only have to wear a tinted moisturizer and have said goodbye to my foundation. I do still have my sunspots and have not seen much improvement however they aren’t very easy to correct. I’m hoping after a few months they will start to fade.
Is it worth the money? I do think it is if you are struggling with uneven skin tone, dry skin, and use a lot of foundation to hide behind. I will definitely be purchasing it again and will update this if anything changes.
With Love,
Jamie
